Briscoe also struggles at centre, Litten offers more on attack at centre than Briscoe.
Defensively we are OK, but we lack players who can make a break and score trys, Litten is a better attacking centre than Briscoe

Can't see Litten been dropped for Briscoe and rightly so. litten had a poor game on saturday. I was surprised he didn't get hooked for briscoe Apart from Hardaker, all where poor.

I guess it's what you want from your centre, Litten is unpredictable which is good and bad at the same time which could result in a break from nothing or numerous errors, at the minute we seem low on confidence as a team and for me Briscoe is steady, will make less errors, is better defensively and better out of backfield. At the minute we need to be minimising our mistakes and playing low risk, imo Briscoe gives us a better chance of that.
FWIW I really like litten but he has a lot to learn, centre is an incredibly difficult position to play.

I would go further than that and add a Big P in front of poor We have to get at least one big fast centre in for next season and a half back if the coach prefers to Pryce at full back. We dont need Briscoe. We already have Chamberlain on a long term deal.Needless extra salary to pay The more i see of Litten the more i am convinced he wont make a regular S/L player. Twenty Three years of age next season is no longer classed as young. Will go the same way as Moy,Gardiner and one or two other younger fringe players and either leave the game or end up in the lower divisions

To be fair to Litten , He's only just started learning the ropes of playing centre .

To be fair to Litten , He's only just started learning the ropes of playing centre . Yep, only about 20 games or so, and alot of that has been disrupted by injury. Think he has shown enough this year and with more experience and bulking up, he has rral potential to be a good SL centre

It'd be crazy to write him off so soon. On his day he's been very good this year (I'm thinking first Wire away game, second Catalans away game) especially after a long lay off.
Someone on here has just got a weird obsession with slagging off centres.

Woulndnt need to if we had had any decent ones in recent years Carlos probably the best of a bad bunch Its such an important position for both attack and defence yet here we are bigging up Litten (probably more to do with the HDM) that fans are buying into it.

Whatever team we put out from what we have available, doesn't change the fact it's going to be tough to get a win against a team that's hit a bit of form.
Two of our best attacking weapons are out and we don't have the depth to replace their kind of qualities they bring, right now.
It's gonna have to be gutsy, dig in and hope we get the fundamentals right to give us a chance, and then be able to execute our chances.
League table says there's not much between the two teams. I expect a close tight game.

This is our tough period. We have key men out and players coming back are not quite up to match speed yet.
This is where the depth of your squad and luck on injuries come into play. You just hope you can come out of that on top.
We've give ourselves a decent start. And we're still in the fight. And still will be if we don't get the points this week.

For mine, our mindset from the first whistle, has to change. We lack intensity and focus. We must win the floor, and quicken our play the ball. Conversely , our defensive line speed has to be quicker We need to stop our opposition playing in our half.
Team selection, I doubt if Cartwright will make any changes, I feel we need to give Cust a go at 9, maybe put Briscoe on one wing, because he has good kick return out of backfield. I'd pick Fash at 13, or even Hardaker. Aydin isn't offering anything ball in hand, maybe start Jed

Conversely , our defensive line speed has to be quicker We need to stop our opposition playing in our half. That's the real issue! Attitude and core skills. If you're playing professional rugby league, these should be embedded by now. Get them right and they can beat most teams but as you say, with and without the ball, they lack intensity and focus. They want to play rugby but don't build pressure. Instead they create it for themselves with line speed, the PTB, distribution from dummy half and lateral ball movement that are all pedestrian a lot of the time. A lot of that is down to coaching and practice.

Going a year without a win at home is unacceptable. This should change tomorrow can’t see Wakey winning this. Should be plenty coming over from West Yorkshire the club has put free coach travel on however the ticket price of £29.00 may put a few off . Russell and Lingard back for them.
